exploring

We took the kids up to see our new house today. They hadn't seen it yet, though that didn't stop them from fighting over who was going to sleep in which bedroom. We still don't have that one all figured out yet, the discussion's been shelved for the time being. We also ran around the land a bit. There's a LOT of room out there, which is cool. We'd been hemmed in in town for too long. Long ago, the place used to be a working farm and we found all kinds of rock walls, all overgrown with vines and tall grass. We also found some unused bee hives. Here's something most people don't know about me. Though I've never done it, I've always been interested in bee keeping. Maybe we'll get some bees and have those hives up and running, how cool would that be? The kids seemed to have fun exploring. We found a couple guava trees and some lilikoi vines. Hopefully, we'll find more fruit trees as we dig around the property more. Things grow fast here, so maybe we'll buy a couple orange and lemon trees and plant them, too. The pineapple I planted in pots a year ago really need to be transplanted too. We'll have a fun little farm in no time at all.

Do you plan to get another Cindy for your farm?
